Celebrate the holidays in Downtown Cleveland
Downtown Cleveland’s annual Winterfest is everything you want out of a holiday season kickoff: twinkling lights, festive trees and those city sidewalks dressed in holiday style.
But this year’s Winterfest (like most things happening in 2020) is going to look a little different, so as to accommodate the latest health and safety guidelines.
In fact, this year’s Winterfest will take place over several weeks, from Nov. 28 – Jan. 3. Plus, Winterfest will come complete with plenty of virtual events and activities, too.
Here’s the ho-ho-ho holiday showdown:
Holiday Light Shows – Public Square
Daily: Nov. 28 – Jan. 3 (4 p.m. – Midnight)
When the lights of Winterfest illuminate on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m., you can enjoy the ceremony from the comfort of your home with a special broadcast on WKYC-3. However, throughout the course of Winterfest, enjoy the twinkling awesomeness of Public Square all lit up at your leisure. The Square is open for light viewing daily from 4 p.m. – midnight.
Saturday Night Lights – Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Saturdays: December: (5 – 9 p.m.)
Enjoy extended weekend hours at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame while exploring socially distanced, family friendly outdoor events, including live music, food and drink specials, holiday shopping, museum access and other fun holiday activities for all ages.
Winter Riverfest – Merwin’s Wharf
Nov. 27 – Jan. 18 (11 a.m. – 8 p.m.)
See Rivergate Park and Merwin’s Wharf transformed into a winter wonderland along the Cuyahoga River in The Flats during this new holiday event, presented by MTD. Enjoy ice skating, festive light displays, a beer garden and firepits, retail shopping and an igloo village.
But, wait. There’s more.
