A Christmas Story House

A Christmas Story House is a museum in Cleveland, Ohio’s Tremont neighborhood. The 19th-century Victorian, which was used in the exterior scenes of Ralphie Parker’s house in the 1983 film A Christmas Story.

Allen Memorial Art Museum

The Allen Memorial Art Museum is located in Oberlin, Ohio, and is run by Oberlin College. Founded in 1917, its collection is one of the finest of any college or university museum in the United States, consistently ranking among those of Harvard and Yale. Cleveland History Center (Part of the Western Reserve Historical Society)

Home of the Cleveland Starts Here exhibit, the Cleveland History Center houses exhibits that tell the story of Northeast Ohio through items, documents and artifacts. Through the use of the Western Reserve Historical Society’s extensive collections Cleveland History Center provides the public with a much-needed sense of place in today’s mobile society. Each document and artifact tells a story that personally engages individuals, young and old to make these stories come alive.

Cleveland Museum of Art

Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland Learning Center and Money Museum

Stand beneath our 23-foot money tree, trade on the Barter Islands, try to identify counterfeit bills, and make your own currency! Experience our hands-on, interactive exhibits to learn about personal finance, economics and the history of money–Walk in and see the Money Museum. Take a group tour of the Bank or schedule a guided tour of the Money Museum. Admission and tours are free! They also schedule tours for group events. Very cool.

Steamship William G. Mather (part of the Great Lakes Science Center)

Open from May – October, you can tour this restored 618-foot historic ship and see what life was like on board a working Great Lakes freighter. Explore the 1925-built Mather from stem to stern and see its huge cargo holds, brass and oak pilot house, elegant guest quarters and four-story engine room. Walk the decks and marvel at the “engineering firsts” that helped transform Northeast Ohio into a great industrial center. Experience the golden era of steamships on one of the best.
